Being Safe On The Web

There are many issues relating to internet safety that need to be taken into account before working with Web 2.0 with students. The following links may help in considering and dealing with these issues.

Websafety4kids

To help teachers and parents understand some of the issues related to internet safety you may like to use my websafety4kids wiki which includes movies and other information related to this issue.

Informational Documents

From My Other Blog you may also choose to use a sample parent information letter we have used as well as a list of rules that we include in our new blogs.

Netalert

The Australian Commonwealth Government Netalert site is full of advice related to students using the internet. From the Netalert site you can also link to Cyberquoll which is a site designed for primary students to tell them about the risks of using the Internet and provides advice on managing and minimising those risks.
